Mercedes-Benz will soon taking covers off the 7th-generation of S-Class. However, it has been spotted without any before the official unveil.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the flagship offering from the German carmaker. It is sold in slew of variants with a lot of engine-gearbox and wheelbase options. It is currently in its 6th-generation, which was unveiled for the first time in 2014. Currently, the carmaker is plotting the launch of 7th-generation of S-Class. It has been spied quite a few times with heavy camo all over its shell. This time, however, the car has been spotted and captured in lens without any camouflage. Thus revealing the overall design of the exterior and as well as of the interior.

The design of the new-gen S-Class appears to more of evolution than revolution.

On the outside, the 2021 S-Class features softer fluidic lines. The design language feels familiar as it falls in line with the recently unveiled E-Class facelift. The front facet now has more curves than the outgoing car. The headlamps are redesigned units and do not feature the triple-eyelash type LED DRLs. The radiator grille has gained a lot in terms of size, thus pushes the headlamps to extreme edges of the car. The rear fascia seems to have adapted to a well-balanced diet. The tail lamps have shrunk in size and they are now bi-part units. Above them run a sleek chrome line giving the rear-end a neat and sharp look.

The rear-facet sports softer lines in comparison to the front facet of the car.

The dashboard of the 2021 S-Class is borrowed from space ship it seems. The minimalist treatment is well take care of with screen all around the place. There are hardly any buttons to notice. The instrument console is an all-digital unit, and appears to be fixed directly on the steering column. The infotainment screen is mounted vertically this time, and is not fixed in the dashboard; it rather comes bolted to the centre tunnel. Showcasing the expanse of sheer width of the new S-Class’s cabin, a glossy black panel runs across the dashboard. It also houses the quad-AC vent units in the center.

Powering the 7th-gen S-Class will be a set of engine-gearbox combinations. It is expected to be offered with a 3.0L petrol, 2.9L oil burner, and a 4.0L V8 petrol. The bigger V8 motor will also feature a 48V mild-hybrid technology. The range-topping 6.0L V12 petrol is expected to be missed on this full-size saloon. But it will be seen on its coupe version. The 2021 S-Class is likely to be unveiled in September this year. Expect it come to our shores by mid-2021.
