Mercedes Benz has revealed the all-new Maybach S580 in the international markets. Let's see what this ultimate luxury sedan can offer to its VIP owners.
We all know that Mercedes S Class is the luxury sedan model from the German carmaker. Mercedes Maybach S Class comes up as an even more extravagant option for the super-riches. Recently, Mercedes-Benz has revealed the all-new Maybach S580 to the masses. Within the luxury car market, the Maybach S580 will take on the likes of Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost.
Dimension-wise, Mercedes Maybach S580 measures 5,500 mm in length. It is underpinned by a similar platform that is used on the S Class. However, the wheelbase of the luxury sedan is longer than the standard S Class model by 180 mm, which suggests a lot interior room for the new Maybach.
To rival the most reputed saloons in the luxury segment, the Mercedes Maybach S580 gets countless luxury features. One of the highlights on the new Maybach S580 are the electrically-powered rear doors which can be controlled using the “doormen” function. The cabin also sports adjustable bucket seats with deployable leg rests. The reclinable seats come with two settings – 19 and 44 degrees. To provide ultimate comfort for car occupants, all seats are fitted with massage, heating, and cooling function, along with heated armrest. The rear passengers are indulged with the special feature of calf massage footrest.
Mercedes Maybach S580 also provides the Executive Rear Seat Package which includes some plush features like wood trim, centre console as well as deployable tray tables. Buyers of this luxury sedan can also opt to have rear seat champagne cooler and solid metal flutes. Besides two displays on the dashboard, the rear compartment also features two 11.6-inch screens mounted on the back of the front seats. In addition, there is also a display on the rear armrest.
Under the hood, the Mercedes Maybach S580 is powered by 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine along with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It is capable of belting out of 496 Bhp and 700 Nm. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. 4Matic all-wheel-drive system is available as standard. Mercedes Maybach S580 is expected to be launched in India by sometime next year.
