2021 Tata Safari Becomes Official Partner for VIVO IPL 2021

Tata Safari was announced to be the official partner of the VIVO Indian Premier League this year. At the moment, the seven-seater SUV is positioned as the flagship model in Tata Motors' lineup.

Tata Safari was launched earlier this year at a starting price of Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec models of the Safari can cost up to Rs 21.45 lakh. This seven-seater SUV takes on the likes of MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV500. Tata Motors is offering the 2021 Tata Safari as its flagship car in India.

Lately, Tata Safari is announced to be the official partner of VIVO Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL). Tata Motor has been associated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the last four years. Commenting on the fourth year working with IPL, Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “This year’s IPL is a special one for us as the tournament has made its way back to its Indian venues after a difficult year.”

The 2021 tournament will start on April 9 in Chennai and will come to other five major cities across India including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad where the finals will take place. Srivatsa also revealed that they were working on “innovative plans” in order to draw viewers’ attention to this year's tournament. He also added, “We are positive to drive tremendous value from this association and hope to share the joy of celebrating our favourite sport and cricket league with the fans yet again.”

Being the Official Partner, the Tata Safari will be displayed at the stadiums in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Ahmedabad, where the tournament takes place.

About the Tata Safari, this model was launched as the seven-seater version of Tata’s popular SUV, Tata Harrier. Named after the iconic Safari, the new seven-seater SUV is introduced with a new design and underpinnings.

Tata Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Kryotec diesel engine that makes 170 PS of peak power and 350 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. In terms of features, Tata Safari is equipped with an 8.8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, various connectivity functions, electrically adjustable driver seat, a 9-speaker JBL system, cruise control, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, auto-dimming IRVM, multi-drive modes, panoramic sunroof and more.
