51 Units of Tata Winger Ambulance Delivered to Zilla Parishad Pune

Recently, 51 units of Tata Winger Ambulance have been delivered to Zila Parishad Pune by the carmaker after bagging the order through e-Marketplace.

Tata Motors has recently delivered 51 units of Winger ambulance to Zilla Parishad, Pune. These vehicles are the part of a huge order placed by the Zilla Parishad and will be assigned to different Gram Panchayats in Pune for medical and relief purposes. The automaker had won the bid for this order through Government e-Marketplace. This handover ceremony took place on 25th September 2020 and was attended by Mr Ajit Panwar, Deputy CM of Maharashtra. These new Winger ambulances have been specially designed to keep the driver safe from contaminants and pathogens, with the help of a partition, which separates the cockpit area from the patient compartment.

It is designed on a strong yet light-weight monocoque chassis, which also enhances the manoeuvrability. The updated Winger also offers smooth ride quality for the better transportation of the patients. The new 2020 Tata Winger is offered in two different trim levels namely- long wheelbase and a short wheelbase. The former measures at 3,480 mm, while the latter is 3,200 mm long. The 2020 Tata Winger gets disc brakes up front and drum brakes at the back. You also get sideways-opening doors for the rear hatch as standard.

The styling of the new Tata Winger is based on the company’s ‘Impact 2.0’ design language. It is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel unit, which develops 98 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It is offered with a standard warranty of 3 years or 3 lakh kilometres.
