7 Tata Nexon EVs Sold Every Day Since Launch

Tata Nexon is one of the most affordable and capable electric SUVs offered in the Indian market. It is popular among the buyers for its powerful electric mill and roomy cabin. The automaker has recently reported that 2,200 units of the electric SUV are sold in the Indian market since its launch. It was introduced in our country back in January 2020. The automaker managed to retail 1,000 units of the electric SUV in just last three months. With these numbers at our hand, we thought of using our calculator and found out that Tata Motors averaged at about 7 units a day and around 210 Nexon EVs every month.

People around the country have also started preferring electric vehicles over petrol or diesel cars, which is quite good because EVs are emission-free. On average, the automaker has sold 7 Tata Nexon EVs every day since its launch. As per reports, most of the buyers prefer the top-spec XZ+ LUX trim of the SUV, which comes loaded with all the bells and whistles. Talking about Tata Nexon EV, it derives power from a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is capable of shredding out 129bhp of power and 245 Nm of peak torque. The electric SUV offers 312km of range in one full charge. A DC fast charger can charge the electric SUV from 0 to 80 per cent in just one hour, and the regular AC will take between 8-9 hours to reach a full charge.

Tata Nexon EV is the top-selling electric car in the Indian market. It is retailed in three different trim levels namely- XM, XZ Plus and XZ Plus LUX. The electric SUV is sold at a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh for the entry-level XM variant and goes all the way up to Rs 14.99 lakh for the top-spec XZ Plus LUX trim. Tata Motors claims that the Nexon EV will grab around 60 per cent market share in the electric vehicle space by this FY. In term of looks, it looks quite similar to that of the new Nexon facelift, But the Nexon EV gets some Blue accents along with EV badging to differentiate from the regular model of the SUV.
