720 Units of Nissan Magnite Delivered on 72nd Republic Day of India

Nissan Magnite was launched in December last year. On the 72nd Republic Day of India, Nissan delivered around 720 units of the new SUV across the nation. Till date, it is confirmed that Nissan has received over 35,000 bookings and 1.5 lakh enquiries for the newly-launched Nissan Magnite.

As a result of the overwhelming demand from the Indian market, the waiting period for this model has gone up to over eight months. In order to meet the unexpected response, Nissan has started the third shift in its manufacturing facility to increase its manufacturing capacity. Sharing about the delivery of 720 units of Nissan Magnite on 72th Republic Day of India, Rakesh Srivastava, MD, Nissan Motor India said:

It is not an overstatement to say that the Nissan Magnite is possibly the last chance for Nissan in our market. Fortunately, the positive initial responses somewhat suggest a brighter future for the Japanese carmaker in India. Upon entering the highly competitive space of compact SUVs, Nissan Magnite has prepared itself with aggressive pricing that undercuts most of its rivals. Nissan has priced the Magnite from Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom). It takes on the likes of Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Ford EcoSport.

Nissan Magnite has received positive responses from Indian buyers 

Along with competitive pricing, Nissan also provides a handful of smart and advanced features for the Magnite. There are even some segment-first features on offer, for example, 360-degree camera, wireless Apple Carplay and Android support, a full-digital 7-inch TFT instrument cluster. Other highlight features of the Nissan Magnite include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Nissan Connect system, automatic AC with rear AC vents, ambient lighting, puddle lamps, air purifier, JBL audio system, and more. In terms of safety, the Magnite is fitted with dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and hill launch control.

Nissan Magnite is offered with two choices of engines, a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre inline-3 turbocharged petrol engine. While the former is good for 73 PS and 96 Nm, the latter is capable of making 100 PS and 160 Nm. Both of these engines come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The turbo-petrol engine is also available with an optional CVT.
