All New Hyundai Elantra Launched in South Korea At Rs 9.25 lakh

The 2020 Hyundai Elantra has been launched in South Korea at a starting price of Rs 9.51 lakh. The automaker has already received 16,849 pre-bookings of the premium sedan.

The India-bound new-gen Hyundai Elantra has finally launched in South Korea. The all-new sedan has been priced between Rs 9.51 lakh to Rs 14.87 lakh. The carmaker said that they have already received 16,849 pre-orders for the new model between 25th March to 6th April. Almost 10,058 pre-orders were received on the very first day. Hyundai is offering its new premium sedan in four different variants, namely- Style, Smart, Modern and Inspiration. The sedan will be sold with petrol and LPG engine options.

Almost 10,058 pre-orders were received on the very first day

Outside, the new-gen Hyundai Elantra gets a parametric-jewel grille along with aggressive-looking LED headlamps. Moreover, the car also employs sporty-looking 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, connected LED taillights and shark-fin antenna. In terms of dimension, the new-gen model is 4,650 mm long, 1,825 mm wide, 1,240 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,720. Inside, the all-new Hyundai Elantra comes loaded with features like a 10.25 instrument console, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, 10-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. 

Mechanically, the premium sedan derives power from a 1.6-litre MPi petrol motor that produces power and torque outputs of 123 PS and 153 Nm. On the other hand, the 1.6-litre LPi petrol-LPG engine offers 120 PS of peak power and 152 Nm of twisting force. The petrol unit comes coupled to a 6-speed MT and CVT, while the LPG variant is only offered with a 6-speed AT. The petrol mill is rated to offer 14.4 kmph (MT) and 15.4 kmpl (AT) of mileage, while the LPG unit offers a mileage of 10.6 kmpl.

The sedan derives power from a petrol and LPG engine option

In India, the carmaker is planning to launch a diesel engine option for the ongoing Hyundai Elantra. Moreover, Hyundai is also planning to upgrade dealerships across the country before the launch of 2021 Elantra.
