All-new Hyundai Grand i10 to be launched in 2019, Hyundai confirms

As what Hyundai stated earlier, the refreshed Grand i10 will be launched in 2019. The new Grand i10 will be among the 8 upcoming cars that Hyundai plans to introduce by 2020. 

Besides the revival of the name “Santro” which will be launched on the festive season, the new i10 will be another anticipated car in the time to come.

The 2019 Grand i10 will be built on an all-new platform which promises to bring in a radical transformation for the car. In other words, the new car could advance with lighter weight, more flexibility and a higher level of safety, and possibly a larger space. It is hoped to be the next big step of the company and help the Korean automaker expand their foothold.

Hyundai Grand i10 will be out in 2019 with an all-new exterior as well as interior

Besides the platform replacement, the i10 is expected to get an upgraded exterior as well as a new interior.  A new touchscreen infotainment system, as well as dual-tone upholstery, is among the anticipated new interior features. For the safety feature, dual airbags and ABS might come as standard. 

Hyundai has schemed on reducing their car’s life cycles, which means that instead of waiting eight to nine years for a new generation, it will be now only five to six years. Both of the outgoing 1.2-litre Kappa petrol and 1.2-litre three-cylinder diesel engine will continue with the next Grand i10. The engine specifications are 81bhp/114Nm and 74bhp/190Nm, respectively. Five-speed manual gearbox will be the standard for both petrol and diesel variants. The four-speed automatic gearbox will come as an option for petrol version.
