All-New Kia Sonet Official Pictures Unveiled Ahead Of Its Global Debut

Kia is all-set to publically reveal the Sonet SUV in India early next month. Once launched, it’ll compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport.

Kia Motors has recently released the first exterior and interior images of its upcoming sub-4-meter-SUV named as Sonet. The Kia’s  SUV is all set to make its global debut in India on 7th August 2020. The automaker says that the SUV will have “a distinctive and dynamic design, as well as many first-in-segment features." In terms of looks, the production-spec Kia Sonet will employ ‘Tiger Nose’ grille upfront, silver-coloured faux skid plate and a sporty looking bumper. Illumination duties will be done by LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The side profile of the SUV will get blacked-out pillars, all black plastic cladding, sloping roofline and bold creases.

The rear profile of the SUV will feature wrap-around LED taillights adjoined by red coloured reflector strip, a sporty looking rear bumper and Kia badging. One can also expect the rear bumper of the SUV to carry some silver or chrome accents. The SUV will also get a blacked-out roof along with silver roof rails. Inside, the Korean automaker has already confirmed that the SUV will feature a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with a navigation system and UVO connected technologies.

Furthermore, the all-new Kia SUV will come loaded with features like premium Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging pad, push-button start-stop, an electric sunroof, rear AC vents, air purifier, automatic climate control and much more. The SUV will also get safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD and so on.

Mechanically, it’ll derive power from three different powertrain options- 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former will produce 83 PS of power, while the latter will put out the power output of 100 PS. The SUV will also derive power from a more potent 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor that produces 120 PS peak power. The same powertrain option does duties in the Hyundai Venue.
