It is expected that the Tata Harrier will get an infotainment system sourced from Visteon with an 8.8-inch display. For your information, Visteon specializes in supplying automotive elements like multi-info displays, infotainment systems and digital instrument clusters for automakers. Various cars on international market like Ford's super-duty trucks and Mazda CX-9 SUV have also sourced their infotainment screens from this company. Tata Motors also equip their fashionable Range Rover Velar SUV with Visteon’s digital instrument cluster.

To talk about the infotainment system on the Tata Harrier, it will support Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink, reverse parking sensor and satellite navigation connectivity. According to a press release, the reason why Tata has decided to shift from a Harman infotainment system to a Visteon one is because of the quicker interface and smoother operation. Interestingly enough, the audio system will still be supplied by Harman, which means that the vehicle will offer high-quality sound, which is also be available on the Tigor, Tiago and Nexon.

The Harrier SUV will receive power from a 2.0L diesel engine which can produce 140hp/300Nm. Bookings for this amazing SUV has now been open across all Indian Tata Motors’ dealerships. Once launched, it is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 16 Lakhs to Rs 21 Lakhs (on-road) and compete against Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass.
