SUVs are sweeping through not only the Indian market but also the entire global car market. The significant growth of this segment has prompted the car manufacturers across the globe to be more creative with their offers. As to meet the prevailing preference for SUVs, luxury car brands have extended their range of SUVs. Moreover, some of them are offering high-performance SUVs which were not a thing until recently. Some of the models emerging in this category are Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne and Audi RS Q8. One of the newest model to enter this niche market is the Aston Martin DBX. Recently, Aston Martin has launched a limited version of the DBX called Bowmore Edition.

This special edition is named after the famous distillery in Scotland. Only 18 models of this type will be made. To make the ownership of this model even more special and exclusive, Aston Martin offers a 3-night trip to the homeland of Bowmore distillery. The trip will be started at Edinburgh where 18 special guests will be given the keys to their DBX Bowmore Edition. After that, these guests will embark on a trip to one of the world’s oldest distillery to enjoy the finest distilled craft.

About the Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition itself, the SUV will get an exclusive unique Bowmore Blue paint colour. There is also another option which is the Xeon Grey colour. Across the bodywork, Aston Martin inserts many copper trims. Interestingly, these copper inlays are made from Bowmore’s whiskey stills. To highlight the special origin of this model, DBX Bowmore Edition is adorned with Bowmore and Q badging every here and there.

Similar to the exterior design, the DBX Bowmore Edition also applies copper treatments. You can find strips of copper around the lower part of the centre console, as well as copper finish on cupholder and the side sills. The interior of DBX Bowmore Edition comes in two colour scheme options: an Obsidian monotone for a sleek look and an Obsidian & Copper dual-tone option for a more playful and interesting appearance.

A special trip to visit Bowmore distillery in Scotland is offered for 18 owners of the DBX Bowmore Edition

Under the hood, it continues to foster the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that is powering the standard DBX. This AMG-sourced engine is capable of making 542 BHP of top power and 700Nm of maximum torque. A 9-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive system are offered as standard. This engine allows the car to propel from idle to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and reach the top speed of 290 kmph.

So, if you are planning on ordering one of these, do so as soon as possible. With only 18 of them around, you wouldn’t want to miss out. Plus, a trip to Scotland and a fine distillery doesn’t sound half as bad, right? Meanwhile, Aston Martin is scheduled to begin deliveries of the DBX Bowmore Edition in late 2021.

It is worth noticing that it is not the first time that the two brands collaborated on a special car model. Earlier this year, Aston Martin has named a special model named Black Bowmore DB5 1964 which is also the name of the special whiskey. There are only 25 bottles of this kind available for sale, and each will cost $65,000.
