MOST AFFORDABLE Audi SUV to Launch in India Very Soon

Back in 2016, Audi launched the Q2 as the smallest SUV of its international line-up. After four years, the German luxury car brand has introduced the new iteration of the Audi Q2 with updated styling and revised powertrains in the European market. Recently, by releasing new teasers of the new Q2 across its social media handles, Audi India suggests that the new Q2 will be soon launched in the Indian market.

About the design of the new Audi Q2, the new version comes with a low-slung single-frame grille, creating an impression of wider front design. In addition, the grille also adapts a new polygon design which resembles the rear diffuser inserts. The air intakes of the Audi Q2 are also redesigned. LED headlights are now available as standard across the range. As for the top-spec model, Audi Q2 will get a Matrix LED adaptive headlights alongside dynamic turn indicators for the rear end. Audi Q2 is offered with five choices of exterior colour options, namely, Apple Green, Manhattan Grey, Navarra Blue, Arrow Grey and Turbo Blue.

On the inside, the new Audi Q2 carries forward the similar dashboard design of the pre-facelift model. About the infotainment system, Audi can offer from analogue instrument cluster to the infamous virtual cockpit with 12.3-inch screen and an MMI 8.3-inch navigation display. Moreover, the new Audi Q2 also offers a 705-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system with 14 speakers. As for the driver assistance system, Audi Q2 features lane departure warning, park assists, pre-sense safety system, to name a few.

2020 Audi Q2 will come with new exterior design and several feature updates 

Under the hood, the Europe-spec Audi Q2 comes with a 1.5 TFSi turbocharged petrol engine which generates 150 PS and 250 Nm. To improve the fuel economy, Audi also integrates the cylinder deactivate technology into the new model. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Apart from this engine, it is also suggested that Audi will offer other two petrol engines and two diesel motors on the India-spec Q2.

Recently, Audi India launched the new RS Q8 in our market. RS Q8 is indeed the performance-focused version of the Q8 which was launched earlier this year. Priced at Rs 2.07 crore, this model will compete against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the Lamborghini Urus. Coming back to the Audi Q2, we can expect that Audi will start receiving bookings for this new model from this month.
