Audi RS Q8 Spotted At Dealership Ahead Of Its Launch This Month

The blisteringly-fast SUV from Germany - Audi RS Q8 is all set to be launched in the country by the end of this month, However, the car has started reaching the dealerships.

Audi India recently released the teaser of its upcoming Super-SUV RS Q8. The German carmaker has also started accepting the bookings for the high-performance SUV against a sum of Rs 15 lakh. While the SUV is less than a couple of weeks away from its launch, retail units have started reaching the dealerships. Here’s a set of pictures of RS Q8 that was spotted at an Audi dealership. These pictures come to us from an avid reader - Biren Kumar. The car in the picture wears a gorgeous shade of blue, which Audi calls 'Navarra Blue'. Along with this shade, Audi will most likely offer the RS Q8 in 8 different colour options.

Powering the Audi RS Q8 is a 4.0L V8 with forced induction via a turbocharger. It delivers a maximum power output of 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of peak torque. All of it is sent to all 4 wheels of the RS Q8 via an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro 4WD system. With this arsenal in place, the RS Q8 is claimed to be capable of reaching the 100 kmph mark in just 3.8 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited at 250 kmph. However, it can be bumped up to 304 kmph with the dynamic package, which will be available as an option.

On the aesthetics front, it looks fairly similar to the Q8. However, a redesigned Singleframe radiator grille is now put in place to increase the volume of air intake. It even gets redesigned side sills along with 22-inch wheels. Buyers will also get an option to upgrade to bigger 23-inch rims. At the rear, the changes include an RS roof spoiler, rear diffuser, and quad exhausts. These changes accentuate the overall sportiness of the SUV. A similar treatment is done on the inside. The SUV gets Audi’s bespoke Sport trim, which features RS badging and RS theme for the digital instrument cluster, Alcantara wrapped seats, and flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Prices of the Audi RS Q8 is likely to start northward of Rs 2 Crore mark. The Q8, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 1.33 Crore (ex-showroom). Underpinned by the same MLB Evo platform that underpins the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga, and smaller Audi Q7, RS Q8 will rival its own mechanical twins and more.
