To tackle the ongoing sales slump in the Indian Auto market, carmakers are offering plenty of discounts and offers on their cars. Also, with the BS6 norms kicking in from April this year, manufacturers also looking to clear the leftover stock of the old, BS4-compliant models. There are plenty of SUVs being offered benefits of more than 2 lakh! Here, we have the best discounts available on SUVs sold in India, from Renault Duster to Mahindra Alturas G4.

Renault Duster

Renault Duster (BS4-compliant model) of the Duster was offered with two engine options under the hood, a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol. The diesel engine was offered in two states of tune: 85 PS and 110 PS. On the BS4 compliant diesel versions, you can avail offers up to Rs. 2 lakh, depending on the stock availability. After BS6 norms kick into effect, the French carmaker will discontinue the sale of diesel cars altogether. The petrol motor (105 PS), on the other hand,has no BS4 models left.

Renault Captur

The second SUV on our list is the Renault Captur. Although one of the hottest-looking options in its class, the car has been unable to sell well in India. The Captur is available with up to Rs. 2 lakh discounts on the leftover BS4 models. The current model shares its engines with the Duster- the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (105 PS), and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel (110 PS). There has been no word on the BS6 model yet, but we expect it to be available soon.

Nissan Kicks

Nissan Kicks shares its platform and powertrains with the Renault Captur, and is an extremely capable car as well. The petrol-powered version can be had with benefits of up to Rs. 1.23 lakh while the diesel version is available with offers of up to Rs. 1.68 lakhs. The benefits include cash and corporate discounts, free warranty, and free accessories worth Rs. 13,000.

Jeep Compass

Jeep had previously upgraded the Compass to BS6-compliance, for both the petrol- and diesel-powered variants. Currently, the remaining BS4 petrol version (1.4-litre turbo-petrol, 160 PS) is available with discounts of up to Rs. 2 lakh. There are dealership-level discounts and low-cost insurance offers on the BS6 petrol Compass as well.

Mahindra Alturas G4

Based on the current-generation Ssangyong Rexton, Mahindra Alturas is the flagship vehicle of the home-grown UV manufacturer. It is powered by a 2.2-0litre turbo-diesel engine (180 PS).
