BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow Launched At Rs 42.30 Lakh

BMW India recently launched the new 2 Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow special edition model. This model is priced at Rs 42.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It should be noted that the Black Shadow Edition has been available for booking via BMW’s online platform only.

Last month, BMW introduced the 2 Series Gran Coupe at Rs 39.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Black Shadow Edition commands a premium over the standard model as it gets some enhancements from the M Performance package. Compared to the regular 2 Series Gran Coupe, the Black Shadow Edition, which comes with its M Performance parts, is significantly more attractive. It is offered with two exterior colour options - non-metallic Alpine White and metallic Black Sapphire.

The Black Shadow offers a hgher degree of personalization thanks to the BMW Individual Shadow Line package as well as the M Performance parts, which is worth Rs 2.5 lakh over the regular version. Only 24 first customers will get these packages at an introductory price of Rs 90,000. The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow gets some distinctive styling elements like black mesh pattern front grille, blacked-out wing mirror caps, glossy black M rear spoiler, black-chrome-finished exhaust pipe finishers, black boot lip spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels with BMW floating centre cap.

On the inside, the Black Shadow model is fitted with various high-end features like a large panorama glass sunroof and sport seats with electrical memory function. It inherits other features available on the standard 2 Series Gran Coupe, including full-LED headlights, 12.3-inch digital instrument display, 10.25-inch touchscreen with voice assistant and gesture control function. As for the safety feature, the Black Shadow is offered with 6 airbags, ABS, dynamic stability control, traction control, concerning brake control and a rearview camera, and reversing assistant. The interior goes with Sensatec Oyster/Black combination.

Under the hood, the 2 Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow continues to feature a 2.0-litre diesel engine used on the regular version. Mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, this engine can generate 190 Bhp and 400 Nm.In the current market, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has no direct rivals in the market. However, the market will soon welcome some models that will directly challenge the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. These are Mercedes A-Class limousine and Audi A3.
