BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine India Launch On January 21

BMW has a series of new launches for the Indian market in the last few months, including the 2 Series Gran Coupe, X3 M, X5 M, X5 M Competition and 2 Series Grand Coupe Black Shadow Edition. Recently, BMW is readying the 3 Series Gran Limousine which is likely to enter the market on January 21. It will be the first launch of the German car brand in the Indian market next year.

The India-spec BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine will also be the first right-hand model to be introduced in the international market. Similar to other extended models introduced before, the upcoming 3 Series Grand Limousine features a longer wheelbase than the that of the standard 3 Series by 110 mm. With regards to the overall length, the Grand Limo version is extended by 120 mm. The height of the 3 Series is increased too.

Thanks to the extended length, the rear legroom of the 3 Series Gran Limo will be extended by 43 mm. There will be longer rear door allowing better ingress and egress. In addition, BMW also worked on improving the seat cushioning of this sedan, hence increasing the overall comfort. In addition, the new 3 Series Gran Limo will come with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and BMW iDrive and panoramic sunroof, mood lighting, automatic climate control, along with a host of other convenience and comfort features.

As for the exterior, there aren’t many major updates. Through untrained eyes, the new 3 Series Gran Limo basically looks identical to the older version. The powertrain options remain the same with two choices of engines, namely a 258BHP 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 190BHP 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

After launch, BMW 3 Series Gran Limo will replace the outgoing 3 Series Gran Turismo which has received positive responses in India. The upcoming BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine will sit between the 3 Series and 5 Series. Prices of this model are expected to range around Rs 45 lakh to Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom).
