BMW 530i M Sport is about to launch in India. This high-spec variant will sit above the 530i Sport Line and come at the extra cost of about Rs 4-6 lakh.

In the Indian market, BMW 5 Series is currently available with three variants, the 530i Sport Line, 520d Luxury Line and the 530 M Sport. Among the three options, there is only one petrol variant which is the entry-level 530i Sport Line. To balance between the petrol and diesel force, BMW has decided to launch the top-spec M Sport trim for the petrol range. So besides the base 530i Sport Line, the customers are now offered another premium petrol option with the new 530i M Sport.

Exteriorly, this M Sport petrol variant will share some design features that are previously only available on the 530d M Sport. The top-spec M Sport trim, as the name might suggest, is specially styled to look sporty. New front and dual tone rear bumper, a bigger air duct and a black-chrome garnish exhaust tailpipe along with LED adaptive headlight, LED fog lamps and 18-inch M alloy rims are added to make this variant appear sharper and more sporty. Customers could pick among four paint colour options, including Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Mediterranean Blue and Bluestone.

Stepping into the new high-end petrol variant, you will see the interior also evolve to signify itself as a member of the M Sport band. The cabin is inserted with Aluminium Rhombicle trim and pearl chrome highlight, while the sports seats are wrapped in Dakota leather upholstery. In terms of the comfort features, the top spec petrol 5 Series is stacked with dual-zone automatic climate control, BMW Display Key and Remote Control Parking, a full-view camera along with Park Assistant, Comfort Access System, and wireless charging. Besides, its infotainment system comes with functionalities like Apple CarPlay, satellite navigation and gesture control.

Under the hood, the 530i M Sport employs a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. With this unit, the vehicle could comfortably run with the maximum power of 248 bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm at its command. This motor is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with gearshift paddles.

The existing standard petrol variant 520i Sport Line is priced at Rs 53.8 lakh. The new top-spec variant is expected to be priced from Rs 57 - 60 lakhs.
