BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe has been listed on BMW India’s official website since last month. The India launch is slated for next month.
The BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe, which is bound to be launched in India next month, has gone on sale in the Malaysian market for the price of RM 968,800 (approx. Rs 1.69 Crore). Available in a single-spec 840i M Sport variant, the BMW 8 Series comes with a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine making 335 HP of maximum power at 5,000 – 6,000 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 1,600 – 4,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.
With this powertrain, the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe can rocket from 0 to 100 kmph in only 5.2 seconds and achieve an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kmph.
The BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe is loaded to the gills with goodies. Sold with the M Sport package, the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe gets some sporty exterior add-ons, such as massive 20-inch M light alloy wheels, BMW Laserlight headlamps or the Individual high-gloss Shadow Line exterior trim.
Stepping inside the Coupe’s cabin, one would be impressed by the fine-wood and ash grain-grey metallic high-gloss trim, M leather steering, sophisticated dashboard with black leather treatment, M door sills, Merino extended leatherette upholstery along with welcome light carpet and so on.
The entertainment and comfort features of the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe include a 10.25-inch BMW Navigation system, 12.3-inch digital instrumentation, Live Cockpit Professional, ventilated & heated power front seats, BMW Connected features, a HUD, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, power sunblinds, power tailgate along with a suite of safety and driver’s assistance kits.
The BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe offers six body colour options for the M Sport trim including Black Sapphire, Carbon Black, Mineral White, Sonic Speed Blue, Barcelona Blue and Sunset Orange. Meanwhile, the Merino leather trim is available with different colour schemes including Night Blue, Black, Fiona Red, Cognac and Tarfuto.
We have seen the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe listed on BMW India’s official website recently so we are pretty certain that the car will be launched in India in the coming weeks. The 8 Series Gran Coupe will face Porsche Panamera, Audi A7, etc.
