BMW launches the 2019 MINI Cooper JCW (John Cooper Works) edition at INR 43.5 lakh

The Mini Cooper JCW will be retailed in India through CBU route

BMW India has finally launched 2019 Mini Cooper JCW (John Cooper Works) in India at a price tag of INR 43.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mini Cooper JCW facelift is only available in the 3-doors edition of the Mini Cooper and will now become the performance-benchmark in the company's portfolio.

Up front, some of the aesthetic upgrades for the special edition car include a hexagonal radiator grille, red and black  race-inspired striping look to the car. Illumination duties in the new Mini Cooper JCW are done by LED headlamps along with round LED DRLs. The car rolls on sporty 17-inch JCW-specific alloy wheels which are finished in black as standard and help ensure uninterrupted driving dynamics. Braking duties are taken up by a 4-piston, fixed-calliper braking system finished in Chilli Red with a John Cooper Works badge. On the inside, the car gets an optional 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay only. Moreover, it comes loaded with features like JCW sports seats, heads-up display, Harman and Kardon music system and LED interior and ambient lighting to illuminate the cabin with a choice 12 selectable colours.

The Mini hatchback is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine, which can sprint fron 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds

The Mini Cooper JCW is powered by a 2-litre, 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine which develops 231 hp of power and 320 Nm of twisting force. The car has the ability to go from 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds.

The car also comes loaded with some decent amount of safety features such as of driver and passenger airbags, Brake Assist, 3-Point Seat Belts, Dynamic Stability Control, Crash Sensor, Anti-lock Braking System, Cornering Brake Control and Run-flat tyres as standard.
