As the April 2020 deadline is around the corner, auto manufacturers in India are so busy upgrading their cars to the new BSVI norms as well as clearing the BS4 stock before the BSVI rollout. Nissan’s subsidiary, Datsun is bringing attractive discounts worth up to Rs 1.5 Lakh for its entry-level hatch Redi-Go. Currently, the Datsun Redi-Go is on sale at the price bracket of Rs 2.82 - 4.4 Lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

In its BS4 guise, the Datsun Redi-Go is offered with a 799 cc and a 999 cc petrol engine options. While the smaller engine can produce 54 PS of max power and 72 Nm of torque, the bigger 999 cc motor is good for 68 PS of power and 91 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed MT as standard along with an optional 5-speed automated manual transmission.

We expect the upcoming BSVI-compliant Redi-Go to sport some visual changes and additional features like a new touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from the styling changes, the 2020 Datsun Redi-Go will be made to meet the latest crash test standards and the upcoming pedestrian protection regulations. Once launched, the Datsun Redi-Go BSVI will continue to join the competition with the likes of Maruti S-Presso, Maruti Alto, Renault Kwid and other cars in the entry-level hatchback segment.
