BS6 VW Polo MPI And Polo TSI Mileage Unveiled Officially

Last month, the local subsidiary of German automaker giant VW launched the BS6 Polo MPI and BS6 Polo TSI in our market. Now, the carmaker has unveiled the mileage figures of the updated BS6 line-up. VW has launched the BS6 Polo with two different powertrain options- a 1.0-litre MPI 3-pot naturally aspirated petrol mill that produces 76 PS of peak power at 6,200 rpm and 95 Nm of peak torque at 2,950-3,800 rpm.

The 1.0-litre petrol unit offers 17.75 kmpl of mileage

The motor comes paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and is rated to return 17.75 kmpl of fuel-efficiency. The hatchback is also being offered with a 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged three-cylinder engine, which churns out 110 PS of power at 5,000-5,500 rpm and 175 Nm of twisting force at 1,750-4,000 rpm.

Transmission duties are done by 6-speed manual or either a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Details of AT variant are not yet listed on the company’s official website. The new BS6 VW Polo TSI offers a mileage of 18.24 kmpl.

Moreover, the hatchback is offered in three different trim levels namely- Trend Line, Comfort Line Plus and High Line Plus. The updated BS6 VW Polo is retailed at a starting price of Rs 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes all the way up to Rs 9.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with the likes of Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Tata Altroz.
