Jeep Compass will soon receive a new petrol engine that will be BSVI-compliant. The new motor is upgraded from the current 1.4-litre MultiAir motor which conforms to BS-IV emission standards. The new engine is able to deliver a maximum power of 163 PS against 250 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed MT unit. The BSVI petrol engine variant is the entry-level Sport one which is equipped with an FWD system.
