With the current offer, Maruti Suzuki Celerio is one of the affordable cars with AMT option. It is also the first entry-level car to include an automatic gearbox on offer, making it the trendsetter for the rise of AMT in its class. This package offers a well-rounded proposal that is both convenient and affordable.

After the introduction of the AMT version, the Celerio has gained a broader following and hence getting sales indicators going upward. The AMT option is available on the mid-range variant VXi and the top-spec ZXi. And this unit is matched to a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, given that the old variant has been stopped due to slow-selling sales. The petrol motor could churn out the maximum power of 67 Bhp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 90 Nm at 3,500rpm.

Now, most of its class are available with ATM, namely, Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid and Hyundai Santro. The popularity of ATM in this segment has tightened the competition. However, Maruti Celerio has successfully proved their segment-leading status with –segment-highest sales volume. It has also consistently appeared on the monthly top ten best-selling vehicles in the market.
