Citroen C5 Aircross Launch Time Confirmed

The Indian auto market is among the biggest markets in the world. From the past few months, the auto market was suffering from a big sales slump, but now it is steadily coming to the track. Moreover, earlier this year two international carmakers have entered the Indian market namely- Kia and MG Motors, and both the automakers are hitting good numbers in terms of sales. Moreover, a lot of international carmakers are also planning to enter the Indian market. One of these is the well-known French car brand, Citroen. As a division of the PSA group, Citroen will be launched in our markets by 2020. The first vehicle which they will introduce in our market will be a premium SUV, namely- C5 AirCross, which has been snapped on the Indian roads while getting tested. As per their plans, Citroen will launch a new car based on the same platform every year.

Roland Bouchara, senior vice president sales and marketing, India, said, that the company will launch its first product in the market in the second half of 2020. It’s quite obvious that all the new car launches are scheduled during the festive season. The festive season is the only time when the car sales go up because most of the potential customer plans to buy new vehicles around that period.

Once launched, the C5 AirCross will rub its shoulder with the likes of Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier

The Citroen C5 AirCross will be launched in India as a Complete Built Unit (CBU). Once launched, the C5 AirCross will rub its shoulder with the likes of Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier. Moreover, Citroen has also planned to increase localization to about 98 per cent. In terms of features, C5 AirCross will offer a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, emergency assistance, hydraulic suspension system and much more. We expect the premium SUV to be priced around Rs 16 lakh.
