Citroen Inaugurates First La Maison Showroom in Ahmedabad as C5 Aircross Launch Nears

As Citroen is all set to debut in India with the C5 Aircross, Citroen has now set up its first showroom in India. The French auto company has inaugurated its very first La Maison showroom in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. As revealed by Citroen, the “La Maison” concept has been curated to offer the Indian buyers a technologically rich, informative and immersive experience.

The “La Maison Citroen” concept means the Home of Citroen. It was first introduced in Paris in 2017 and now spread over 100 locations in the world. The La Maison Citroen showrooms provide their customers with the “Phygital” buying experience thanks to the help of technology and some other tools.

According to the reports, Citroen’s first showroom in Ahmedabad will be operational ahead of the launch of the Citroen C5 Aircross. Also, Citroen is planning to expand its dealership network to 10 dealerships in 10 cities across India before the launch of the compact SUV. The next La Maison showroom will soon be operational in the country's capital - Delhi.

“The showroom will have numerous screens, debuting the ATAWADAC (AnyTime AnyWhere AnyDevice AnyContent) and Phygital ecosystems in India, allowing customers to explore and sample the Citroen brand, products and services seamlessly. This includes not just the cars but also merchandise as well as vehicle customisation. "La Maison Citroën" is a global retail concept that has gained much repute and praise from happy Citroën customers worldwide,” said Mr Roland Bouchara, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing of Citroen India.

Citroen’s maiden product, the C5 Aircross made its public debut on February 1, with its market launch lined up for some time in March this year. The Citroen C5 Aircross will join the mid-size SUV segment. It enters India through the CKD format and will be sold with a diesel engine only. Powering the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross will be a 2.0-litre diesel engine that develops 177 HP of power and 400 Nm of peak torque, and it comes paired to an 8-speed automatic as standard affair..

Citroen will retail its C5 Aircross in just two trims levels namely, Feel and Shine. Therefore, we do not expect the prices of the upcoming Citroen car to be very affordable, also given the fact that it’s a CKD unit. The Citroen C5 Aircoss will be priced somewhere at around Rs 25 lakh (estimated, ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and Skoda Karoq in India.
