MG Motor starts a new initiative that rewards customers for each additional week of the waiting period.

MG Motor has its first taste of achievement in the India market with the launch of MG Hector. The new compact SUV has met with overwhelming success. The demand for this vehicle has exceeded the expectation of the British marque, which caused the carmaker to stop receiving booking for the Hector. Other than that, due to the high demand, the waiting period of the MG Hector also increased. To make up for the unexpected prolonged waiting period, MG Motor India has introduced an initiative targeting at the customers who are waiting for their Hector to be delivered. According to the “Worth Waiting For” programme, as MG Motor called it, the longer a customer has to wait for the delivery, the bigger reward one gets.

More specifically, for each additional week of waiting, the customers will be awarded 1,000 points. They can exchange their points for accessories and prepaid maintenance packages at MG Hector’s network of 120 dealerships across India. MG Hector is available with a wide range of accessories and each accessory gets a 1 year/20,000 km warranty. Apart from the direct reward initiative, MG Motor also established a meaningful partnership with IIMPACT, a Haryana-based NGO and introduced a program in which, for every two weeks of MG Hecter delivery waiting, the company will support education for one girl.

Two months after the booking was opened, MG Hector has amassed the total bookings of 28,000 units. Due to the fact that the number booking is exceeding the company’s producing capacity, MG has temporarily put the booking on hold. As the British carmaker puts a strong emphasis on customers’ satisfaction, MG Motor is unlikely to let the extended delivery waiting period upset the overall buying experience of its customers. A professional service will go a long way and help MG Motor to gain trust from the customers.

MG Hector is priced between Rs 12.18 lakh and Rs 16.88 lakh. It comes in four variants, namely Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. MG Motor provides the Hector with two petrol engines and one diesel unit. MG Hector is now pitting against the likes of Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos. The British car brand has a plan to launch a seven-seater version of the MG Hector at a later stage.
