The petrol automatic version gets Rs. Forty thousand of as cash along with another Rs. 25,000 off as an exchange bonus. The discount scheme for 2019 MY Ciaz manual that only applies to Zeta, Delta and Sigma variants include a cash discount of Rs. 40,000 along with an exchange offer worth Rs. 25,000. It is noteworthy that no discount is available for the top-end Alpha manual variant.

The Ciaz facelift was launched in August 2018 with ex-showroom prices of Rs. 8.19 lakh for the base Ciaz Sigma petrol and Rs. 10.97 lakh for the top-spec Alpha trim. The older 1.4-litre petrol engine was ditched and replaced with a marginally larger 1.5-litre, four-cylinder K15B unit that for the first time on a Maruti petrol, comes equipped with SHVS. It is capable of delivering 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm and is paired with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

The current model also comes with a diesel option which is still powered by 1.3-litre DDiS 200 mill capable of 90 PS at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm at 1,750 rpm. However, it will be soon replaced by an all-new 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel powertrain in 2019 Ciaz diesel option. Although the four-cylinder engine on the 2019 Ciaz does not come with SHVS technology, it pumps out more power and torque than the outgoing engine – 95 PS power at 4,000 rpm and 225 Nm of torque delivered at 1,500-2,500 rpm.

The new engine will come paired to a six-speed manual transmission with an overall fuel efficiency of 26.82 kmpl. Although the 2019 Ciaz diesel is less powerful than the Hyundai Verna's 1.6-litre diesel (128 PS), it helps narrow the gap. The Ciaz’s sales in India was 50,759 units last year with year-over-year sales down by 18 per cent.
