Entry-Level BMW 3 Series 320d Sport Is Back At INR 42.19 Lakh

BMW has relaunched the entry-level 320d Sport variant of the BMW 3-Series in the Indian auto market at a price of INR 42.19 lakh (ex-showroom) after discontinuing the vehicle around March 2020. This variant is now more affordable than the 320d Luxury Line by INR 5.4 lakh. With regards the features, the 320d Sport variant is almost equally equipped as the entry-level petrol 330i Sport model.

The 320d Sport is quite well-equipped with a wide range of features which include automatic headlights, an 8-8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, autocruise, powered front seats, sunroof, driver-seat memory function, etc. As regards safety, the 320d Sport offers six airbags, ABS, ESC, a rear-view camera, traction control, front and rear parking sensors and a tyre-pressure monitoring system. The 320d Sport lacks some features which are available on the more costly 320d Luxury Line. These consist of the wider 10.25-inch touchscreen unit, Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument screen, an ambient lighting system and hands-free parking. However, the 320d Sport utilizes slightly less chrome in its exterior styling than the 320d Luxury Line, which helps the former feature a new sportier styling. As mentioned above, the 320d Sport is equally well-equipped to the 330i Sport; nevertheless, the former misses out on an M-Sport driving wheel which is offered in the latter.

The 320d Sport receives its power from a 2.0-litre 4-cyl oil burner which can deliver 190 BHP against 400 Nm and is mated to an 8-speed torque converter. The sedan is claimed to accelerate from a standstill to 100 kmph in only 6.8 seconds, which is quite fast for an entry-level variant of a luxury sedan.
