Maruti Suzuki is going to introduce the updated versions of the Maruti Ciaz and Baleno facelift in the Indian market.

It will be a new event-filled year of Maruti Suzuki when the automotive company has planned to commence a number of new launch in 2019. The all-new Maruti Suzuki WagonR has just gone on sale last Wednesday with a refreshed look, bigger 1.2-litre engine and new stronger platform. Two other aggressive athletes are in the pipeline to come in 2019 including the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 1.5-litre Diesel.

The official bookings for the imminent Baleno facelift have been kicked off with the token amount of Rs 11.000. The exterior and interior aesthetic of the forthcoming Baleno witnesses a bunch of updates as per some exclusive pictures surfaced on the Internet some days ago, in which the biggest change lies on the front bumper. Maruti has heavily redesigned the front bumper of the new Baleno for a sportier and much more robust look. A set of dual-tone alloy wheels have been upgraded while the rear bumper will undergo a massive revision. The other components are kept identically to the current-gen model in the market.

The Baleno Facelift is expected to be another big hit in the Indian space

Features-wise, the newcomer is likely to be equipped with LED projector headlamps in lower trims along with standard safety fitments adhered to the upcoming safety regulations. The base variant, all the more, will come to offer front-seating seatbelt reminder, speed alert, pre-tensioner, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, rear parking cameras, ABS with EBD and dual front airbags. It is expected that Maruti Suzuki will make no touch to the powertrain system of the vehicle.

Apart from the facelifted version of the Baleno hatchback, the celebrated Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will make a comeback to the Indian auto space with a diesel variant. The 1.5-litre diesel-powered Ciaz is expected to offer a plethora of new features from the outside and inside delivering the optimum experience in driving.

Anticipated to be in-house developed, the all-new Maruti Ciaz will source the power from a new 1.5-litre diesel engine which is looked to deliver the best-in-its-class smooth and silent as compared to the 1.2-litre DDis 200 oil burner available in the current generation. The upcoming Ciaz’s engine is confirmed to generate around 95 bhp of max power at the higher mileage of 26 kmpl. Also, the 1.3-litre motor will be retained in the lineup until the new BS-VI emission standards come into effect in 2020.
