Facelifted Porsche Cayenne to Launch in India on October 17

The new-gen Cayenne SUV will be launched on October 17, 2018 in the Indian auto market, which has been confirmed by Porsche.

The new Porsche Cayenne will be built on a brand new platform. Despite the similar appearance to the previous model, it will get a more angular design. It seems to look glossier, more robust and better proportioned. Moreover, some of the outstanding features include:

  • LED Matrix Beam Headlights

  • Dynamic Light System (PLDS)

The interior is refreshed with a list of comfort features such as

  • A central big infotainment touchscreen measuring 12.3 inches

  • Seats which can be adjusted in 18 ways

  • 710 watts Bose sound system

Porsche will introduce the all-new Porsche Cayenne in four versions with different engine and performance. To be more specific,

  • The Turbo is powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo, which can deliver 542bhp and 770Nm of torque. With this engine, the vehicle can accelerate up to 100kmph within 4.1 seconds with the maximum speed being 286kmph.

  • The Cayenne S uses a 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6 producing 433bhp and 550Nm of peak torque.

  • The standard variant will get the power from a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine which can churn out 335bhp and 450Nm of torque.

  • The Cayenne E-Hybrid variant is also offered with a 3.0-litre V6 engine paired with an electric motor and delivering approximately 462bhp and 700Nm of torque.

The first variant will be introduced into Indian auto market first and then the next three variants on a later date.

The facelifted Porsche Cayenne is available with four driving manners: Gravel, Rock, Sand and Mud. You can also further alter the setting of the platform, driving mode and digital locks to help the car better adjust to the topography. These features can be considered a benefit of this new SUV, given the bad road conditions in India.
