In the Indian car market, Maruti Swift is one of the hottest and best-selling hatchbacks. This third-gen model is ready for a mid-cycle update which is about to launch in the international market. Recently, the first images of the refreshed Suzuki Swift surfaced online. As seen in the pictures, the refreshed model will receive some minor exterior updates.

Speaking of the front-end, the front grille will be revised with a honeycomb mesh pattern and chrome details. The Swift will also get an updated front bumper with a more aggressive look. Apart from the refreshed front fascia, the upcoming model also gets renewed headlamps and alloy wheels. The interior design is not revealed yet. However, it is expected to get limited updates, possibly limited to just new seat fabrics or new dashboard trim.

Renewed Suzuki Swift will be launched soon in the Japanese Domestic Market

The mid-cycle refresh for the Swift will be launched in the international market first, before it heads to our country. The leaked brochure scane seen above is that of the hybrid version. The image you see above is of the updated version of the same that was showcased at 2020 Auto Expo earlier this year.

It is likely that the India-spec Maruti Swift will reflect the same updates as those on the international version but with some small tweaks. Besides the cosmetic updates, it is likely that Maruti Swift will get a new BSVI 1.2-litre K12C DualJet petrol engine which has been introduced on the facelift Dzire earlier this year. This mill puts out a top power of 90 PS and comes paired with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, depending on what the buyer orders. Of course, no diesel engine will be offered on the refreshed car.
