First SUV Lamborghini Urus delivered in India with the price of Rs 4.2 crore

Lamborghini Urus SUV has been launched since January 2018. After 8 months of the global debut, now the first Lamborghini Urus has been delivered to a customer in Mumbai.

Lamborghini is owned by Volkswagen Group subsidiary Audi AG. It intends to double the production up to 7,000 vehicles per year by the time of 2019. Of all the cars, Lamborghini Urus SUV is said to be one of the blockbusters in the production line. 

Since its first global debut late last year, Lamborghini Urus SUV was launched in India in January 2018. Recently, Lamborghini has started its deliveries of the Urus super sports SUV in the country with a price tag of Rs 3 crore. The first 25 units of Lamborghini Urus SUV have finally arrived in the Indian market. In which, the very first Lamborghini Urus has been owned by a customer in Mumbai. This unit retailed for Rs 3.8 Crore at the ex-showroom and the on-road price is Rs 4.2 crore.

In particular, from the outside look, India's first Urus gets the underpinnings of a sports car. The supercar offers a Rosso Antero shade along with an optional Style package for the exterior. The package includes red brake callipers, the black exterior trim as well as a bright chrome finish for the tailpipes.

Additionally, the Lamborghini Urus SUV is impressive with 22-inch diamond-finish Nath wheels, in which, both of 21 and 23-inch wheels are available as options. 

Regard of the inside look, the car features

  • Black leather seats 

  • Panoramic sunroof 

  • Ambient lighting 

  • 360 -degree surround view camera

  • Custom Bang & Olufsen 3D

Regard of the powertrain, the Urus is based on the same MLB Evo platform that reminds of other VW Group SUVs like Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga.

Specifically, the supercar receives the power through an all-new 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 twin-turbo engine which is claimed to be the first time for Lamborghini. The engine can produce about 641bhp and a whopping 850Nm of torque which is mated to an 8-speed transmission.

Lamborghini claims the near-2.2-tonne Urus will do 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds – quicker than the original Murcielago - and can go on to a top speed of 305kph. Its 440mm carbon-ceramic front disc brakes are also the largest fitted to a production car.

As such, the Urus base price is Rs 3.10 crore, in ex-showroom. Lamborghini Urus will take on the likes of Maserati Ghibli, Bentley Flying Spur, Quattroporte and Maserati Levante.
