There is only one month to the official launch of the new Honda CR-V in India. Here are five facts that you might want to know about this new car.

In October, we will embrace the arrival of many new car models, among which, there will be the highly participated coming of the fifth gen Honda CRV. The updated version received considerable changes mechanically and cosmetically. But how will it differ from the out-going version and what to expect in the upcoming car? Here are all the facts that you should know about Honda CR-V 2018 in India.

1. Larger size, more space and seven-seater configuration on offer

One of the much-appreciated offers of the new CR-V is the introduction of the seven-seater version. In the previous models, the CR-V is just known as a five-seater SUV. But for this new generation, Honda has added its car with a third row. It means that CRV could make a good choice as a family-friendly car.

To accommodate one more row at the back, it is certain that the car will have to grow in size. And here is the dimension of the new CRV:

2. First diesel engine ever on the CRV

Another good news is that the firth gen CRV will offer the diesel version as well. It is the first time that Honda put a diesel option on offer for the Indian-spec CRV. The new diesel motor is a 1.6-litre unit which makes 120bph and 300Nm. This unit will accompany with a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Honda has confirmed the official Honda CRV 2018 launch date: It will be introduced on October 9.
