Images of the soon-to-be-launched Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition have recently been leaked. The images of the vehicle parked inside a dealer stockyard reveal its exterior and interior

The Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition is about to go on sale. It carries multiple aesthetic alterations from the regular model, mostly in the front and the side profile. Some of the most outstanding exterior features of the vehicle include the anti-glare hood glare, bumper applique, radiator grille border, headlamp bezels in the front. On the side profile, it comes with ORVMs, 17-inch 7-spoke black alloy wheels with Bridgestone Ecopia tyres and roof rails. All of these above features get a black paint scheme to match the dual-tone overall exterior theme.

The cabin of the Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition also comes with a two-tone paint scheme. There seem to be two distinctive colour options for the cabin: Black and Orange or Black and Beige. The leaked images of the interior reveal that the feature list will include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment setup, passive keyless entry automatic temperature control and leather seat coverings.

The powertrain of the Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition has not yet to be revealed. The normal Ford EcoSport is available in three engine options. The first one is a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol motor which can generate a maximum power of 123 PS against a peak torque of 150 Nm and is coupled with either a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT gearbox. The second one is a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine with 100 PS against 150 Nm and is paired with only a 5-speed MT gearbox. The last one is a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol unit which can generate a maximum power/torque output of 125 PS/170 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed MT unit. The power is sent to the front wheels of the vehicle due to the unavailability of the AWD system in our market.
