Ford Endeavour Gets Minor Updates in Thailand Market

Ford Endeavour is one of the best offers in the full-sized SUV segment. The vehicle features a butch and rugged appearance along with an outstanding offroad capability. These have been major attractions that draw customers into purchasing the SUV. In the international market, Ford Endeavour goes under the name Ford Everest. Currently, Ford has introduced an updated version of the Ford Everest in the Thailand market. It is widely known that Ford will bring the new Endeavour from Thailand to the Indian market via the CKD route.

The Thailand-spec Ford Endeavour comes with some minor exterior updates. On the front end, the revised Endeavour gets a honeycomb grille garnished in chrome. The same grille design is available on the Sport Edition which was launched in India earlier. However, the India-spec Sport Edition gets black finish instead of black finish. In addition, the updated Ford Everest sports a chrome applique on the ORVMs and door handles. Ford also adds two new colours, Snow Flake White Pearl Deep Crystal Blue.

In the Indian market, Fortuner Endeavour Sport Edition is directly competing against Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo. Compared to the standard model, the Endeavour Sport Edition gets a bolder appearance. Besides the black grille as mentioned above, the Sport Edition also receives a black treatment for the front and rear bumper skid plate as well as the smoked headlights, ORVMS, fender grille and side steppers. Full-LED headlights bring in better visibility during the night time. In addition, there are also black decals on the door and tailgate. To wrap up the black exterior theme, Ford Endeavour Sport comes with black premium alloy wheels and black roof rail.

Ford Endeavour Sport is loaded with LED headlights, powered front seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, hands-free tailgate, hands-free parking, cruise control, panoramic sunroof, Ford Terrain Management system and a few more. In terms of safety, the Endeavour Sport gets 7 airbags, ESC, traction control, hill descent control and tyre pressure monitor.

Under the hood, Ford Endeavour Sport derives power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that puts out 170PS and 420Nm. This engine comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, which is the first in the Indian market. Ford Endeavour Sport is priced at Rs 35.10 lakh. It is expected that Ford will introduce a thoroughly updated version of the Endeavour in 2021.
