This Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 can produce 1,400 HP, which makes it such a massive bomb.
Motors Sport is usually used by Ford to demonstrate innovation. Electric motors give the American auto manufacturer a new type of performance and the all-electric Ford Mustang Cobra is one striking example of the latest breakthroughs in the new era of EVs.
The Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is a breakthrough in terms of performance for Ford cars.
Below is a teaser video of the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 which shows the EV quietly doing a 1.4 mile run in just 8 seconds. More information will be revealed in a new video which will be released on April 26. According to the video, the car does not use even a drop of fossil fuel and won't even cause any sort of sound pollution. This is the first time that Ford has ever introduced a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet with an all-electric motor. This motor can generate more than 1,400 HP against 1491 Nm, which helps it become a capable racer.
The electric powertrains of the new Ford Mustang Cobra can deliver 1,400 HP
The Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is the most powerful Mustang ever. Its engine helps the EV accelerate from a standstill to 170 miles per hour in only eight seconds with almost no sounds. The new Mustang Cobra Jet is faster in a quarter mile than the upcoming Lotus Evijia electric hypercar, the newest hybrid Ferrari flagship, the upcoming Tesla Roadster 2.0 and even the Chevy one-off eCOPO electric Camaro, its most direct natural rival. In other words, the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is incredibly fast.
Commenting on the sportscar, Global Director of Ford Performance Motorsports, Mark Rushbrook claimed that,
“This project was a challenge for all of us at Ford Performance, but a challenge we loved jumping into. We saw the Cobra Jet 1400 project as an opportunity to start developing electric power trains in a race car package that we already had a lot of experience with, so we had performance benchmarks we wanted to match and beat right now. This has been a fantastic project to work on, and we hope the first of many coming from our team at Ford Performance Motorsports.”
