Recently, a Ford Ranger has been spotted on Indian roads. The Ranger is basically the pick-up truck sibling of the Ford Endeavour

The Ford Endeavour facelift has been launched to receive some aesthetic upgrades and a new 2.0-litre turbo oil burner. In the global auto market, the Ford SUV is offered as a pick-up truck which is known as the “Ford Ranger”. Surprisingly, the Ford Ranger has been recently spotted in India. This is not the first time that the Ranger has been spotted on Indian roads. In India, pick-up trucks are not so popular; therefore, we cannot see many pick-up trucks operating in the country and available in the market. Ford is unlikely to launch the Ranger pick-up truck in the Indian auto market since the demand for this type of car in the country is very low. We can assume that they could be testing some components for Mahindra.

The only pick-up truck which is offered in the Indian auto market is the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross which is priced from INR 16.54 lakh to INR 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ford Ranger was spotted by a man identified as Karan from Mohali. The spy images were posted in a Chandigarh Facebook group of the Endeavour.

If the Ford Ranger is introduced to the Indian auto market, it will become a formidable competitor against the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. The latter is powered by a 2.5-litre oil unit which can deliver 134 PS against 320 Nm and is paired with a 5-speed MT. In the meanwhile, the Z-Prestige variant comes with a more powerful 1.9-litre diesel motor which is good for 150 PS against 350 Nm and is coupled with a 6-speed AT.
