Ford To Hike Prices Of Its Cars By 3%, Prices Of Endeavour To Remain Unchanged

This month Ford India has planned to increase prices of most of its models. A recent media reports suggest that whenever a customer will finalizes a new Ford vehicle at a dealership, then he’ll be informed about the price hike. This announcement is not official, but the carmaker is likely to confirm it in the coming days. Not all Ford vehicles will be affected by the price hike. The automaker has plans to hike prices by 3 per cent on the ex-showroom prices. Except for Ford Endeavour, all the cars offered by the American carmaker in the Indian market will receive this hike. Dealerships across the country have already initiated the bookings with the new price. We’ll soon be getting an updated price list of all the Ford models.

The report also suggests that this hike could be a fixed price for all the models. The carmaker was supposed to increase the prices of the new Endeavour back in the month of May. Nevertheless, due to the current situation, the hike has been delayed for a while. One can expect the prices of the SUV to be increased by Rs 70,000 across all the trims. Despite getting the BS6 update, the carmaker decreased the prices of all of its models. However, that came with a major drawback as well. Ford Figo, Aspire and Freestyle miss out on a lot of features.

Talking about Ford Figo and Aspire, both the models miss out features like automatic headlights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rain-sensing wipers, and rear seat armrest. On the other hand, EcoSport gets a decent price hike and continues to retain all the features. Moreover, the automaker has also stopped offering the automatic trims with Figo and Aspire. Both the cars were offered with a 1.5-litre gasoline mill that was exclusively reserved for an automatic transmission. However, Freestyle was never offered with an automatic gearbox. Although, the entry-level Ford models, which were not offered with an AT discouraged a lot of potential buyers.
