GMC Hummer Revealed With 1,000 HP And 350-Mile Travel Range

The GMV Hummer EV pickup truck has eventually been unveiled. Noteworthily, to fan’s expectations for the ‘Hummer’ nameplate to return, the iconic Hummer has now made a comeback as an electric car model, not a brand. According to GMC, it is a “first-of-its kind supertruck developed to forge new paths with zero emissions”.

The GMC Hummer will have an impressive driving range.

The new Hummer EV is good for 1,000 BHP which is drawn from a 24-module double­-stacked Ultium battery. The EV can deliver a driving range of up to 560 kilometres. The car also supports 800 Vold fast charging and can charge for a range of 100 miles in only 10 minutes. The car has a quite impressive performance, which allows it to accelerate from a standstill to 96 kmph in almost 3 seconds. The car is equipped with 35-inch tyres and a 4WD system which are offered as standard. There is only one driving mode, Crab Mode, available on the car, in which the 4WD system is used to drive diagonally sideways.

A wide range of comfort features are also available as well. The feature list includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a massive 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, climate control system with physical buttons, adaptive air suspension which allows the ground clearance to be altered by up to 6 inches, underbody armour for hard off-roading and 18 monitoring cameras. Removable roof panels which can be fitted inside the front boot are also available. The car also comes with an all-LED lighting system, which offers it an equalled road presence.

The GME Hummer EV is expected to be produced from next year and to be launched by late 2021. Once launched, the electrical pickup truck is likely to be priced at around $112,595 (around INR 82.6 lakh).
