Renault Captur – up to INR 2 lakh

Introduced as the flagship product of the French automaker, the Renault Capture has a glamorous on-road appearance. However, the intense rivalry and the high price are the two factors which contribute to its relatively low popularity with the Indian SUV enthusiasts. To resolve the problem, Renault has offered generous discounts on the vehicle for quite some time. However, in 2018, the SUV still continued to cause a headache for the French carmaker with many units manufactured but remain unsold.

This month, Renault is offering a huge discount of up to INR 2 lakh on the Captur, which can alter, depending on the variant. While the base RxE trim gets a discount of INR 1.2 lakh; the top-spec RxT is available with an INR 1.7 lakh discount. However, the highest discount offer of up to INR 2 lakh comes to the mid-spec RxL.

Hyundai Tucson – up to INR 1.3 lakh

Being powered by both petrol and diesel motors, the Hyundai Tucson is currently offered as the most premium SUV of the South Korean automaker in the Indian auto market with an amber cabin, an impressive equipment list and powerful engines. The Hyundai Tucson directly rivals Jeep Compass but has become less popular with the Indian car buyers recently. To make the vehicle more appealing, the Indian second-largest carmaker is offering a maximum discount of INR 1.3 lakh on the Tucson, depending on the trims.

Jeep Compass – up to INR 1.2 lakh

Despite being the most popular SUV of the FCA India Automobiles Private Limited (FCAIPL), the Jeep Compass does not live up to the expectations of the company in terms of sales number. One of the compelling reason for this is the stiff competition from two of its biggest rivals, the Tata Harrier and the Mahindra XUV500, both of which are highly popular with the Indian auto buyers.

Like many other auto manufacturers in the country, Jeep has decided to offer a discount from INR 0.5 lakh up to INR 1.2 lakh on the Jeep Compass, depending on the variants. The American automaker expects that this traditional but effective method will help increase the sales number of the vehicle.

Ford Endeavour – up to INR 1 lakh

Many units of the Ford Endeavour produced in 2018 remained in the dealerships unsold. These vehicles are available with a discount of up to INR 1 lakh, depending on the variants.

The facelifted Ford Endeavour model will soon be introduced to the Indian auto market with only a few additional features including start push button, a brand-new infotainment setup, TMPS and other cosmetic changes. The new Ford Endeavour is expected to compete against the Toyota Fortuner and Mahindra Alturas G4.

To destock the remaining units, the American automaker has decided to offer a discount of up to INR 1 lakh

Tata Hexa – up to INR 1 lakh

Being the most exorbitant car of the home-grown automaker in the Indian auto market, the Tata Hexa is a seven-seat SUV and has a very modern appearance. In the Indian auto market, it directly competes against the Mahindra XUV500 but is not able to record a high sales number as the latter. In an effort to increase the sales of its vehicle, Tata is offering a discount of as much as INR 1 lakh.
