Here's an Audi Q3 for Price of a Top-spec Maruti Vitara Brezza

Are your dreams of owning a luxury car becoming distant every year? Well, you’re not alone! Even we, at IndianAuto, think that the prices of new cars have been rising ridiculously in recent times. Thankfully, we also have a huge used car market in India, where a few brilliant examples can be found for a relatively (or sometimes, extremely) affordable price. Take, for instance, this used Audi Q3 is one such model.

The used Audi Q3 we have here (check out the original listing) has been recently added to IndianAuto’s used car classifieds. This particular example is available in Chennai, and is a 2013 model. It sports a diesel engine with an automatic transmission, and has been run for nearly 1.1 lakh kilometres, which is quite a lot. The car sports a bright white colour with no visible damage or fade. The styling for this model was refreshed in 2015, and is much subtler and classier than the model we have now. The latest Q3 SUV looks sporty rather than understated, which has now become a common theme for all Audi cars.

As this car was available before BSVI-compliance made diesel cars an extremely expensive proposition, it has a 2.0-litre diesel engine under its hood. This TDI motor was available in two states of tune. The first one had a max power and torque output of 140 PS and 320 Nm, respectively, while the second one had a brilliant 176 PS and 380 Nm on tap. There were two available transmission options, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed Tiptronic automatic with paddle shifter. The Q3 listed here is the less powerful version with the auto gearbox.

The asking price for this used Audi Q3 is a mere Rs 11 lakh, which is quite a bargain for a car with four rings on the front grille! To put this in perspective, a top-of-the-line Maruti Vitara Brezza costs Rs. 11.4 lakh! That said, a Maruti is much easier and cheaper to maintain than an Audi, and if you’re thinking of buying a used luxury car, you must be prepared to shell out some big cash for spares and maintenance. Also, this car has some 1.1 lakh km on the od, which means it won't be susprising if many of the parts is already approaching the end of their lifecycle. That said, a Q3 is better built than the Brezza or any of the lesser cars. So, if you don't mind the higher maintenance and don't have a high usage, you can still consider this SUV or a similar example.
