The Mahindra TUV300 Plus Facelift will share the same Alturas G4-like grille with the updated TUV300 sibling.

First launched in India back in 2018, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus is set to receive a mid-life update towards the end of this year. For the uninitiated, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus is the extended version of the regular TUV300 that can seat up to 9 people on the inside. Recently, a leaked patent image of the Mahindra TUV300 Plus facelift has dropped us a glimpse of how the 9-seater SUV would look like.

According to the leaked image, the updated Mahindra TUV300 Plus will get a refreshed front grille inspired by the Alturas G4’s unit that looks similar to the one on the TUV300 facelift. The new grille features a Mahindra badge at the centre, flanked by three vertical slats on both ends.

The refreshed bumper also gets wider air intake with honeycomb patterns and horizontally-positioned fog lamps. The fog lamps look sleeker than before while the headlamps get some tweaks as well. We expected the rear end of the upcoming Mahindra SUV will get some similar visual changes as well. It should be noted that this is not an official image by Mahindra & Mahindra so the final production-spec version may differ a little in terms of look.

Details on the interior of the 9-seater SUV are yet to be known though, we do expect it to be better-loaded with premium features like a new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay supports and more.

Talking about the engines, the new Mahindra TUV300 Plus is likely to carry the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that also powers the BS4-spec model, of course, in the BS6 guise. In its BS4 avatar, the mill bumped out 120 PS of max power and 280 Nm of peak torque and come paired with a 6-speed manual transmission so we expect the performance will be carried forward on the updated SUV.

The all-new Mahindra TUV300 Plus facelift is set to see its market launch in the coming months. In terms of pricing, the new TUV300 Plus is slated to carry a premium over the BS4 variants which were priced at around Rs 9.92 – 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Although there are no immediate rivals for the TUV30 Plus in the market so far, the 9-seater SUV will indirectly take on the smaller cars like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and more.
