Here's What the Interior of Base Model 2020 Honda City Looks Like

Honda will launch the fifth-gen City in the India in coming weeks. Here are the interior images of the low-spec trim of the sedan

Honda Cars India Ltd plans to launch the fifth-gen Honda City in the local market as soon as the onging unfavourable circumstances come to an end. The features of the top-spec ZX model were revealed through some leaked documents recently, and as compared to the ongoing model, the all-new C-segment sedan will get several new upmarket features. Its cabin will also offer more space as the new-gen model will be longer and wider. The 2020 model will continue to rival with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, 2020 Hyundai Verna, VW Vento and Skoda Rapid. The all-new sedan will derive power from a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and iDTEC diesel mill. Moreover, the option of a CVT gearbox will also be on offer on the oil-burner variant.

Here, we have pictures of the entry-level trim of fifth-gen Honda City. While these images aren't of the India-spec model, they do give us a clear idea of what the low-spec variant of the Indian model will be like. The base trim of the sedan will get rotary dials to operate the air conditioner, a 2-DIN audio system and piano black inserts around the gear lever. It’ll also feature a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer and tachometer, multi-function steering wheel with audio controls, AC vents with silver surrounds and grey coloured seats.

Cruise conrol won't be on offer and the entry-level version will offer only dual front airbags. On the other hand, the top version of the all-new sedan will also get some segment-first features like six airbags, Agile Handling Assist, LaneWatch Camera, full LED headlamps, Vehicle Stability Assist and Alex Remote Connectivity.

The launch of the fifth-gen City got delayed due to the cureent situation 

Furthermore, the top-of-the-line trim of the fifth-gen Honda City will employ an electric sunroof, full-colour TFT MID, dual-tone dashboard with leather padding, Z-shaped LED taillamps, 20.3 cm touchscreen infotainment system, L-spared side blinkers, leather upholstery, Hill Start Assist and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Honda has plans to introduce a hybrid variant of the C-sedan next year. The carmaker is also working on the 2020 Honda Jazz which expected to launch in the coming weeks.
