Honda Amaze Special Edition Launched at Rs 7 Lakh, Sits in Between S & V Trims

Honda Cars India Ltd has launched the new Special Edition model of Amaze in India at a starting price of Rs 7 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The automaker has introduced the new Special Edition of the car to achieve good sales number during the upcoming festive season. The new Special Edition model of the sedan is based on the S variant of Honda Amaze and is offered in four engine-gearbox options. The new limited edition model is Rs 12,000 costlier than the regular S trim of Amaze. By only paying Rs 12,000 extra, one can get added features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatibility, unique seat covers, sliding centre front armrest, distinctive body graphics and Special Edition badging.

The new Honda Amaze Special Edition is also equipped with features like driver & passenger airbags, reverse parking sensors, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors with integrated side blinkers, wheel covers, height-adjustable driver’s seat, shark-fin antenna and steering mounted controls.

The new Special Edition model will be powered by the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder NA petrol mill and 1.5-litre four-pot diesel mill, which are seen on the regular variants of the Amaze. The former puts out 90bhp of power and 110 Nm of peak torque, while the latter develops power and torque outputs of 100bhp and 200 Nm. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed MT or a CVT. The diesel engine when paired to the CVT gearbox, however, produces 80bhp and 160 Nm of twisting force.

In August 2020, Honda Amaze crossed the 4 lakh sales milestone after 7 years of production. The new Special Edition trim is offered at a starting price of Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol MT variant and goes all the way up to Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the diesel CVT variant.
