It happened to be an exhilarating kickoff of the Honda in the current financial year, especially after the launch of the new-gen Honda Amaze in May 2018 that it records the massive jump of 16% in February’s sale volume. Moreover, the Japanese automotive company from April 2018 to February 2019 has accumulated about 1,66,585 takers in India giving a praiseworthy surge of 6.5 per cent when compared to 1,56,452 units in the same period in 2018.

The immense growth of Honda has been seen thanks to the large demand emerged after the introduction of the second-gen Honda Amaze in the domestic market. Honda has insisted that more than 63,000 units of Amaze had been sold in India so far from its launch in 2018. Besides, the Honda City and WR-V are also among other primary contributors.

The latest-gen Honda Amaze is, without doubt, an instant hit among the Indian gearheads right after launch majorly thanks to the massive exterior revision as well as the upmarket feature-rich interior. While 2018 Amaze still stands at the second spot under the class-leading Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the Honda sedan is all way very enchanting to customers, expected to break the records next time. Currently, Honda is also busy gearing up for the launch of the new Civic on March 7, 2019. Pre-bookings for the next-gen Civic has been commenced across its authorized showrooms for a token of Rs 31,000. With the history of nearly 2.5 Crore unit sales across the globe after seven years, the upcoming Honda Civic is strongly believed to heat up the segment of executive saloons in India.

On speaking about the respectable achievement in the first two months of 2019, Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd said,

“Our on-ground efforts and sustained sales momentum for models, specially the Amaze, City and WR-V has fueled our growth in February. The overall market sentiment is not overtly buoyant at this stage, however we hope the market will revive soon. The all-new Civic which is slated for launch next week has received an overwhelming response in the pre-launch phase and we are confident that it will bring excitement in the executive sedan segment.”
