Honda has plans to launch an all-new new compact SUV named as ZR-V, which will rival the likes of Hyundai Venue. The upcoming SUV is expected to be based on the low-cost platform of the Amaze.

Honda Cars India Ltd is planning to introduce a new compact SUV to grab a share of the sales pie in the highly popular entry-level SUV market. One can expect the all-new SUV to be named as ZR-V. In India, the Sub-4 meter SUVs mainly target the younger crowd of the country. The Japanese carmaker has recently filed a new trademark application for the ZR-V name. The upcoming compact SUV by Honda is expected to be based on the low-cost platform of Amaze and could be retailed in international markets as well. Once launched, the SUV will rub shoulders with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Ford Ecosport, upcoming Kia Sonet and Nissan Magnite. It is also possible that the automaker would introduce this SUV as the new-gen WR-V in our market as the ongoing WR-V is quite popular among the buyers.
