Following other car manufacturers, Hyundai will also raise their cars’ price right at the beginning of 2019.

Hyundai is the next carmaker to announce their new-year price hike which will start in January 2019. The price rise will be applied to cars across the range. Even though the exact rise for each car is not announced yet, it is expected that it could go up to Rs 30,000 (ex-showroom price).

The recent productions portfolio of Hyundai starts with the Eon as the low end. The car’s price ranges from Rs 3.35 lakh to 4.68 lakh. Hyundai Eon is also the slowest selling car on the model range with only one unit sold in November. The price hike might make the matter worse. The future of the Eon is still unknown. If Hyundai doesn’t give this small hatchback updates anytime soon, it will soon disappear from the market. On the other hand, the highest priced car of Hyundai in the Indian market is the Tucson which is priced from 18.64 lakh to 25.74 lakh.

Along with these well-selling car, Hyundai will introduce a new sub-compact SUV next year, which will be priced around 8 lakh.
