Hyundai has recently confirmed to update the upcoming Creta SUV with a host of new equipment.

The Korean automaker has currently announced to refresh the Creta SUV with gear listing as well as a brand new top-spec variant – the SX (O) Government. The upcoming model now is available with up to six variants in total, from the bottom E trim to the range-topping SX (O) Executive.

Regarding the exterior, while the higher-spec SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Executive trims will be featured with LED tail-lamps at the rear, the SX variant also receives a dual-tone colour scheme for the manual variants.

In terms of the interior, apart from the updated air conditioner with eco-coating across all variants, the higher-spec SX (O) and SX (O) Government trims will get additional features such as smart key band. The range-topping SX (O) Executive trim, on the other hand, receives the ventilated seats at the front.

As for the safety package, the all-new SUV will be equipped with more standard feature rather than the existing model across all its variants, including

  • Rear parking sensors

  • Seat-belt reminder

  • Speed alert system

When it comes to the performance, the updated SUV will be underpinned from the three same engine options from its predecessor, which are

  • The 1.6-litre petrol

  • The 1.4-litre diesel motors

  • The 1.6-litre diesel motors

The three engine options also remain for this upcoming SUV

In which, they can churn out 125hp and 151Nm, 91hp and 219Nm, 130hp and 260Nm respectively. While the 1.6 petrol is equipped on the E, E+, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Executive variants, the 1.6 diesel comes with the S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Executive. On the other hand, the 1.4 diesel is only available on the E+ and S trims. Remarkably, the automatic gearbox goes with the 1.6 diesel S, and both petrol and diesel SX variants. Also, the S trim with lower-powered 1.4-litre diesel is only paired with a manual gearbox, and the 1.6-litre diesel S variant has no manual option included.
