Hyundai Creta Turbo Get 3 Drive Modes, 3 Terrain Modes and 7-Speed DCT As Standard

Turbo variants of the newly launched Hyundai Creta get 3 driving modes, 3 terrain modes, and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with paddle shifters as standard.

Hyundai has launched the new Creta at a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakh. The car is offered will 3 engine options. There is a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol motor belting out a peak power output of 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 6-speed MT and a CVT. The next on the list is a 1.5L turbocharged diesel that produces 115 PS and 250 Nm, while it can be had mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The last on the list is a 1.4L turbocharged petrol motor. It is the most powerful of the lot and whips out 140 PS of peak power and 242 Nm of max. torque. It is offered with a 7-speed DCT as standard.

The Creta is offered with 3 engine options now.

The 1.5L N/A petrol motor will be available across all the trim levels of the Creta, while the 1.4L turbo-petrol motor will be offered on the top-end SX and SX(O) trims only. That said, Hyundai will offer the turbo variants with 3 drive modes – Eco, Sport, and Comfort. With every mode, the car gets a different tuning for the engine response and different colour themes for the digital instrument cluster. The instrument cluster turns to aqua blue in Eco mode, while in Comfort mode, it turns to a rather relaxed dark blue colour tone. In the Sport mode, the instrument colour turns red, showcasing the powerful nature of this engine.

Apart from these drive modes, the 2020 Creta gets 3 terrain modes as well, namely Snow, Sand, and Mud. These would, however, be standard on the Turbo variant of the car alongside the 7-inch TFT display for the digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, and twin-tip exhaust.

The Creta is loaded to the gills. It comes with a long list of features, which include a panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an automatic air purifier with AQI display. With safety features like 6 airbags, Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, the Creta is expected to score well on safety front as well.
