A leaked image showing the equipment list of the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Nios BS6 reveals that some features have been lost in every trim. Read ahead to know more.

Although the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios BS6 is yet to launch in the Indian market, the equipment list has been leaked online. According to that spec-sheet, it seems like the new version would be losing out on a little equipment as compared to the outgoing BS4 model.

As seen in the image below, every trim level loses out on some feature or the other in the new BS6-compliant model. That said, there are added features as well, which are also listed above in the picture. The older, BS4-compliant model only had two engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.2-litre diesel. The BS6 version gets three, a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.2-litre diesel, and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. The last motor is new, borrowed from the Hyundai Aura, and will be available in the ‘Sportz’ and ‘Sportz Dual-Tone’ trims. The engine makes 100 PS and 172 Nm, and will come mated to only a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The other two powertrains are the same as before, upgraded to meet the new emission standards. The 1.2L petrol makes 83 PS and 113 Nm, while the 1.2L diesel makes 75 PS and 186 Nm. Both these engines come paired with a 5-speed manual as standard, and a 5-speed AMT as an option on select trims (Sportz and Magna on petrol, Sportz and Asta on diesel). Apart from that, the BS6-compliant CNG variant will also be launched alongside. It will be available in the ‘Magna’ and ‘Sportz’ trims.

The current Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is priced between Rs. 5.04 lakh to Rs. 8.04 lakh (ex-showroom) for the current BS4-compliant variant. For the BS6 variant, we expect a price bump ranging between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 60,000. The launch of the new i10 Nios is expected to happen very soon, probably next month. The car competes with Maruti Swift, VW Polo, and Tata Tiago in the Indian market.
